Biter Book Club - Brought to you by Ideal Bite
The Breakfast (Book) Club
The Bite:
Does reading an eco-book sound like a detention assignment? Not when you're joining the cool kids, dorks, jocks, and Ideal Bite editors in the first-ever, summer-long Biter Book Club. Three books, thousands of Biters, and zero fun-police principals looking over your shoulder.
The Benefits:
- Getting in with the clique. Read new, illuminating eco-books with thought-provoking discussions led by our editors each day.
- Becoming a library of knowledge. Shocking, we know, but sometimes people wanna learn more about a topic than we can cover in 350 words or less.
- Not hosting the brat pack. Or having to leave the house (read: no changing out of your bathrobe necessary) - you can participate right from your computer.
Jen From Renewable Choice Says: I'm all for book clubs- I love this idea and fully plan on participating this summer! On a personal note, the move The Breakfast Club was based off of my high school, where we did in fact have 'breakfast clubs'. This entailed going in to school all day on Saturday for detention, which then transformed into going in at 6:30am on the weekdays to do detention before school- this was an especially popular form of punishment for those of us that were late to school in the morning... The movie was also actually filmed in the library on the 'West campus' of my high school- and yes it still looks exactly like that! I love John Hughes and the Brat Pack-those of you that didn't grow up in the 80's, you're missing out! ~Jen
