By 2090 The World Could Eliminate Fossil Fuel Use

By 2090 burning fossil fuels could be a thing of the past. A developed renewable energy industry could pull the world economy out of the current financial crisis and become a $360 billion business which will eliminate the need for fossil fuel consumption by 2090, a 210 page study says. The publication, compiled by the European Renewable Energy Council (EREC) and environmental group Greenpeace, gives a detailed analysis of how such a scenario could be achieved, with special attention given to its development between now and 2030.
