CWind Inc. is actively looking for potential partners for their FD 2 MW turbine.
CWind Inc., a subsidiary of New World Generation Inc. is developing a new wind turbine design to address a common issue which most turbine manufacturers currently face; gearbox failure. "The new design has no gearbox and involves using a friction drive power train to transmit the power from the wind turbine blades through a main shaft to a number of electrical generators." What does that mean? The current gearbox flaws that limit the effectiveness of most turbine models today could finally be overcome making wind power more attractive both commercially and economically than ever before. CWind is actively seeking potential partners to move the FD 2 MW into the design phase. >>Read More.
