LEED Green Power & Green Building
- How can renewable energy credits (RECs) be used for my Green Building or LEED project?
- RECs are used to reduce the environmental impact of the electricity used for your project and building. Buying RECs can ensure that the amount of electricity your project consumes is add to the power grid from renewable energy sources. You can obtain up to six LEED points for purchasing green power for the electricity used during the construction and operation of your building via the LEED Green Power Credit.
