- Is this a donation?»
- Purchasing carbon offsets is not a donation. Carbon offsets are limited in supply and their price is set by the market. Renewable Choice and the carbon projects we work with are commercial companies.
- What is carbon offset “additionality”?»
- Additionality is a term used to describe the fact that a carbon reduction project would not have occurred had it not taken into account its ability to sell carbon offsets. More succinctly, a project has proven additionality if it is beyond business-as-usual.
We only sell carbon offsets that meet the Environmental Resource Trust and Voluntary Carbon Standards requirements for additionality.
