Director of Sustainability Services
We have recently established a new and growing Professional Services department at Renewable Choice Energy and over the next 6-9 months will be looking for a Departmental Director to lead and grow the department.  This department is responsible for consulting with our commercial customers to support them in measuring, managing, and reducing their impact in the areas of energy efficiency, material efficiencies, natural resources, and corporate social responsibility.

This position will be responsible for establishing, directing, and supervising the goals, policies, and work of the department.  The position will develop strategies for the deployment of professional services, assign tasks to and supervise the professional services staff, interface with professional services clients, communicate with the Company sales and executive teams, identify potential business partners and vendors, develop forecasts, support the management of the professional services sales pipeline, and grow the unit, specifically in the areas of client service & process development, project management & execution, new product/service development, and sales.      

Applicants will have at least 7-10 years experience in environmental, energy, or sustainability consulting, with a minimum of 3-4 years supervisory and/or leadership experience included.  Applicants must have sales experience working with prospects to communicate services and value proposition.  A bachelor’s education in environmental science, engineering, or a related field is required and an MBA, ideally with an emphasis in sustainability, is desirable.  

The ideal applicant will demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Ability to grow and manage a team of consultants and to serve as a leader for an emerging business unit
  • Success in establishing and maintaining productive relationships, with the ability to interface with clients to scope, price, perform, and deliver on contracted services
  • Ability to understand client goals, present solutions, estimate costs, manage budgets, and develop professional proposals and solutions
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills and the ability to interface with a variety of internal and external customers at all organizational levels
  • Intelligence, creativity, and the ability to plan, progress, and analyze business decisions in the broader organizational context
  • Ability to nimbly respond to demands and interruptions within a rapidly changing and progressive business environment
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Office applications; familiarity with Salesforce.com desirable
  • Interest in and demonstrated personal commitment to sustainability

In addition, applicants will possess one or more of the following technical qualifications:
  • Experience performing product life-cycle assessments and/or environmental product labeling.
  • Engineering experience involving environmental compliance for air, water, and/or waste.
  • Engineering experience implementing energy audits and energy conservation.
 
This position may require periodic travel.

Sustainability Consultant/Engineer
We have recently established a new and growing Professional Services department at Renewable Choice Energy.  This department is responsible for consulting with our commercial customers to support them in measuring, managing, and reducing their impact in the areas of energy efficiency, material efficiencies, natural resources, and corporate social responsibility.  

We anticipate that growth in this department will lead us to continue to need qualified applicants for Sustainability Consultant/Engineering positions.  These positions will be responsible for project management duties that may include, but not be limited to material waste/water waste measurement and analysis, life cycle analysis, energy efficiency/carbon accounting, and more.  The position will develop and maintain client relationships, collect and analyze compliance data from clients, and provide recommendations for action in accordance with client goals.  The Consultant will ensure that projects are managed and completed correctly, on time, and on budget.    

Qualified applicants will have 4-7 years experience in a related field along with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in environmental/biological/life sciences, public policy, engineering, or a related technical or scientific discipline.  Ideal candidates will be smart, assertive, and diplomatic.  Applicants will demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Success in establishing and maintaining productive relationships, with the ability to interface with clients to scope, price, perform, and deliver on contracted services
  • Ability to understand client goals, present solutions, estimate costs, manage budget, and develop professional proposals and solutions
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills and the ability to interface with a variety of internal and external customers at all organizational levels
  • Aptitude for intelligence gathering, research, analysis, problem-solving, process modeling, systems development and integration, and client development
  • Ability to nimbly respond to demands and interruptions within a rapidly changing and progressive business environment
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Office applications; familiarity with Salesforce.com desirable
  • Interest in and demonstrated personal commitment to sustainability

Additionally, applicants must possess one or more of the following technical qualifications:
  • Life cycle assessment (ISO 14040) or environmental product labeling (PAS 2050)
  • ISO 140001 or ISO 9000 experience strongly desired
  • Six Sigma training; Black Belt strongly desired
  • Experience involving environmental compliance for air, water and/or waste such as Clean Air Act compliance, emissions inventories, environmental management systems, inventory management plans, energy auditing, or mitigation/reduction solution implementation
  • Material waste and water conservation project development
  • Sustainability reporting/policy development
  • Certified Energy Manager
  • EMS Lead Auditor Certification

This position may require periodic travel.
