The electricity needed to manufacture and use two typical mobile phones for two years is 500 kilowatt hours (kWh)*. While your mobile phone uses relatively little electricity compared to other aspects of your life, it is the electronics device you have the most contact with on a daily basis and a great place to start making a difference.


Green-e Energy certified renewable energy credits (RECs) were purchased from wind farms equal to that amount of electricity. Renewable Choice aggregates the RECs from all GREEN YOUR PHONE purchases. This supports wind farms across the country, including small scale wind on school campuses that reduce their energy costs and introduce students to the benefits of wind power.
