How does Mosaic work?
Mosaic provides simple data entry forms that make it easy to enter all of your energy and emissions data. It then does the conversions and calculations necessary for turning this data into an emissions estimate. What if I just want an inventory, not software?
There are two ways for organizations to use Mosaic. Organizations that want to track their emissions on an ongoing basis can enter data into Mosaic throughout the year as it becomes available. Mosaic is a convenient web-based platform, so it can be accessed by authorized users in an organization at any time, from any location. Organizations that just need an end-of-year GHG inventory to provide to a customer or reporting authority can work closely with the Renewable Choice professional services team, who will assist them in using Mosaic to complete their end-of-year inventory. Either way, every organization gets assistance from Renewable Choice with setting up their organization and training on basic carbon accounting principles and how to use Mosaic.

What are the benefits of using Mosaic?
Mosaic can be used to create an end-of-year report of an organization’s GHG emissions or it can be used throughout the year to track energy consumption and emissions on an ongoing basis. Unlike spreadsheets, Mosaic allows multiple users to enter data without worrying about who has the latest version. And compared to a large enterprise software implementation, Mosaic is an extremely cost-effective alternative that offers a hassle-free start-up and a surprisingly powerful feature set.
