Carousel Center/Destiny USA Celebrates Four Years of “Green Power”

The month of February marks Carousel Center/Destiny USA’s fourth “Green Power” anniversary.

How does Green Power work? When you purchase Green Power it means that for every megawatt-hour of renewable energy that is generated, an equivalent amount of renewable energy credits (RECs) are produced. Purchasing RECs is the widely accepted way to reduce the environmental footprint of electricity consumption by guaranteeing that the energy used is added to the power grid from a renewable energy facility.  RECs help renewable energy facilities grow by making them more financially viable and incentivizing renewable energy development.
