Wind Power Purchases:

All wind power purchases are governed by the following terms of service:

This is an agreement for the purchase of renewable energy represented by Renewable Energy Credits. Every purchase represents all the environmental attributes associated with the generation of electricity, which will be placed on the national power grid from a certified renewable-source electric generating facility.

This is not an electricity sale. As a consumer you do not buy actual electricity directly from Renewable Choice, but rather your purchase supports renewable-source electric facilities that place electricity on the national power grid.

1. Renewable Choice Energy's Commitment.

a. Renewable Choice agrees to retire the equivalent REC from a certified renewable-source in the quantity and over the time period necessary to meet its obligations to the customer, with the following limitations.

b. Renewable Choice recognizes delivery of REC is subject to uncertainties, includingand c the availability and intermittent nature of renewable resources, the number and duration of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations, the reliability of the generating technologies, and other factors beyond the control of Renewable Choice. In the event that it is unable to meet its delivery obligations from a designated facility within the designated time period, Renewable Choice may reconcile its delivery obligations from another source, by the end of the first quarter of the following calendar year. If our energy costs increase more than 15% during any one-year period, we reserve the right to decrease the amount of renewable energy originally purchased by the customer by an appropriate amount to offset the increase and will notify the customer within 30 days. The customer will then have the option of whether they would like to pay an increased cost or will stay with their original pricing plan.

c. Renewable Choice agrees to obtain and maintain information necessary to substantiate its acquisition of RECs from each certified resource, including the description of the resource, the number of RECs produced, and the calendar year in which they were produced. This information will be made available to the Customer no less often than annually.

d. Renewable Choice represents it will perform due diligence for the RECs it acquires and retires to ensure that only one REC is issued for each megawatt-hour of electricity generated from an endorsed resource, each REC is sold only once, and the electricity generated in association with the REC is sold without any claim or assertion of rights by any other party with respect to any of the environmental attributes associated with the REC, except as otherwise provided by law.

b. Green-e Energy(R) Disclosure:
Your purchase of renewable energy certificates (RECs) is supporting electricity production in the U.S. You will continue to receive a separate electricity bill from your utility (if applicable). For every unit of renewable electricity generated, an equivalent amount of RECs is produced. The purchase of RECs helps offset conventional electricity generation in the region where the renewable electricity generator is located. The purchase also helps build a market for renewable electricity and may have other local and global environmental benefits such as reducing global climate change and regional air pollution. For more information about RECs, please visit www.green-e.org.
