Renewable Choice client, John Hancock, Buys 58,000 MWh of Renewable Energy

Renewable Choice Energy of Boulder, Colorado is partnering with the financial services company John Hancock to provide the company with renewable energy certificates (RECs). John Hancock is purchasing 58,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewables, which is enough to account for 100 percent of the company’s electricity use at four of its Boston, Massachusetts buildings for the next two years. All four buildings are LEED certified, including the company’s corporate headquarters which uses a green roof and a double skin exterior to improve insulation and reduce its heating and cooling consumption by six percent annually…
